ICT ministers visit UBC offices

The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon. Judith Nabakooba together with her deputy Hon. Peter Ogwang yesterday paid a visit to UBC TV and Star TV studios and offices in Kampala.

The two ministers told the state broadcaster to engage signet and give free to air channels to Ugandans who can’t afford Pay TV.

“I and my colleague Hon. Judith Nabakooba toured UBC premises. Despite having state of the art equipment & studio, there is still little value for money in terms of the desired output. Consequently, we have invited the UBC Board for a meeting with us soon,” Ogwang tweeted after the visit.

The two ministers also toured Jinja ICT centre where Hon. Judith Nabakooba told PROs to stop political tales on Twitter and Facebook and use social media for NRM work or quit if they only want to criticise.

“We should not only use social media communication to blame and criticize government but also share developmental information about government,” Hon. Judith Nabakooba said.
