The Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) Ms. Lilly Ajarova has been recognized with a global award.
She was awarded a Global Tourism Personalities Award for being among the top 100 global tourism personalities.
The award was handed to her today by the President of the African Tourism Board – Mr. Alain St. Ange at the ongoing Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
She said it was an honor for her to receive such a global recognition.
Ajarova who is a conservationist and tourism expert heads Uganda Tourism Board, the Ugandan government agency that is charged with promoting the country as a tourism destination. She was appointed to that position on 10th January 2019.
“I was honored to receive a Global Tourism Personalities Award for being among the top 100 global tourism personalities. This award is not just for me but for everyone out there who continues to support our efforts in tourism development. It’s our Award,” Lilly Ajarova said after receiving the award.
