We thank God for the gift of life. Life is not ours to own. It is a breath lent to us by God, a season we are allowed to steward. Today we are here, tomorrow we belong to history. And that is why we must live with humility.
I saw you as a child, Your Majesty. Only 6 years old when the heavy crown of Toro found your small head. I watched you grow, not as a distant subject, but as a big sister watches a brother.
You reminded me so much of my own brother, only one year your senior. Perhaps that is why my mother has always seen you not as a King on a throne, but as her son in her house. And you have never disappointed a mother’s prayer.

You have been uniquely a king to many not because of the palace, but because of your gentleness. To Tooro you were the son who never left. To Uganda you were the child who taught elders that wisdom is not in age, but in grace.
To Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Best Kemigisa You raised a nation when you raised a King. You gave us a child and he gave us pride. May God strengthen you.
To the people of Tooro, and to all Ugandans let us learn from this life we are celebrating. Life is a trust. No one owns it. Power fades, titles fade, but what we do with the breath God gives us , remains.

Long live
Omukama Oyo Rukidi IV,
Long live Tooro.
