Kampala: NRG Radio has announced the launched of the first-ever NRG Halftime Show at this year’s Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs) Honorary Gala, taking place on 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. This was revealed in a press briefing at Krug Lounge, Bugolobi.

This major reveal marks a significant evolution in the ASFAs’ format, introducing a dedicated mid-show performance moment, an entertainment innovation that has never been done at any fashion awards event in Africa.

Speaking at the briefing, NRG Radio’s Head of Brand Barbra Lynda explained why the station is championing this milestone partnership.

“NRG is proud to be part of this new chapter of the ASFAs. Fashion, music and youth culture have always moved together, and the halftime show gives us a chance to bring that connection to life in a way Africa hasn’t seen before. This is our moment to introduce a new wave to the Honorary Gala and showcase one African musician at a level that’s never been done before. Vinka is headlining the first show and the work going into getting her ready to make history speaks for itself. She was selected to launch this because her journey, style and cultural impact mirror exactly what this moment needs.”
