Former minister and Member of Parliament for Bukoto South constituency in Lwengo District, Hon. Muyanja Mbabaali, has announced a political come back to serve the people of Bukoto South. He has confirmed to this website that he is set to contest again in 2026 General Elections.
Hon. Mbabaali who was one of the most hard working MPs during his term for Bukoto South told us that he has been on the ground working for the people of Bukoto South silently preparing for Primaries later this year.

During his term as the MP from 2016 to 2021, Hon. Mbabaali reduced poverty levels in the area through supporting savings schemes in each village. He also eliminated hunger through providing agriculture seedlings and improved methods of farming as people started commercial production on top of home food.

He improved education, health, access to clean and safe water and road infrastructure and also set up a village financial institution based in Kinoni for the people to save and access easy loans to develop themselves.
Through his global political and business connections, he attracted investment in Bukoto South and greater Masaka and these have provided employment opportunities to the youth.

“I have decided to come back and start where I stopped from to serve my people of Bukoto South with all my heart,” he said.
