Miss Tourism Uganda has officially launched its 13th edition, setting the stage for a nationwide search for the next cultural ambassador. The grand reveal took place at the Uganda Media Centre, signalling the start of a vibrant journey that will culminate in the crowning of the 2025-2026 titleholder.
With the theme “I Am My Culture,” this year’s competition is dedicated to celebrating Uganda’s rich heritage while promoting sustainable tourism. The event goes beyond beauty, focusing on economic growth, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation.
Speaking at the launch, Minister of State for Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Bahinduka Mugarra Martin, commended the organizers and partners for their commitment. “This four-month competition is more than just a pageant—it’s a movement to showcase and uplift Uganda’s diverse traditions,” he remarked.

In an exciting first, male contestants will now be part of the competition, encouraging young men to actively engage in conservation and tourism advocacy. “We welcome both men and women to take on this incredible opportunity to represent Uganda’s cultural and natural wealth,” the minister added.
The pageant will span 12 regions across Uganda, including West Nile, Teso, Busoga, Buganda, Karamoja, Ankole, South Uganda, Fort Portal, Hoima, and Northern Uganda, as scouts search for the next titleholder.

The grand finale is set for September 5, 2025, at the prestigious Kampala Serena Hotel, where Uganda’s next tourism ambassador will be crowned.
