Minister Lillian Aber in busy service delivery as she extends support in Kitgum

The State Minister for Relief, Refugees and Disaster Preparedness Hon. Lillian Aber through the Office of the Prime Minister handed over 595 iron sheets to support four institutions and vulnerable communities in Kitgum District.

The beneficiaries/institutions include St. Marys CC Matidi (115 iron sheets), Cam Cam Chapel (70 iron sheets), Ocekutte COU (120 iron sheets), Kitgum Womens Group (290 iron sheets).

In related development, the Minister who doubles as Kitgum District Woman MP officially launched the training of Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS) at Kitgum Technical Institute in Kitgum district. 166 trainees are taking part in this health training that will last for 6 months with the aim of improving the health sector in Kitgum.

“I have encouraged the trainees to focus on health prevention and community sensitization and use this chance given to them to become better people and avoid taking part in negative behaviors like corruption and negligence,” Hon. Lillian Aber said.

In related news, Hon. Lillian Aber visited Kitgum Main Market and interacted with market vendors from Kitgum Municipality. They raised a number of issues and she is sure that her colleagues responsible for the docket will handle it.

The minister also supported them with over UGX 35m as a boost to their saving groups.
