Former Opposition leader, Hon Mathias Mpuuga, has welcomed singer Alien Skin into his new political party. The Nyendo-Mukungwe MP introduced a new pressure group at Malibu Gardens in Namirembe. This pressure group, named The Democratic Alliance, is expected to gradually transition into a political party, according to the MP.
Among those present at the party launch was singer Alien Skin. The two even went on to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), though the specifics of their agreement are not disclosed.

While speaking to the audience, Alien Skin mentioned that he and Mpuuga share many similarities. He revealed that one of the reasons he ended up in Luzira Prison was for stealing a phone. Conversely, Mpuuga was also accused of taking Shs 500 million. Thus, they deserve to associate with each other since they are kindred spirits.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I want to share that one of the reasons for my arrest was allegedly stealing a phone. Not everyone imprisoned in Luzira is guilty, and not everyone outside is innocent. There are also claims that Hon Mpuuga stole Shs 500 million, so we are both seen as thieves. As the saying goes, birds of the same feather flock together,” stated the Sitya Danger artist.

It’s important to note that Mpuuga had a falling out with Bobi Wine’s NUP a few months ago after accusations arose regarding an ethically questionable service commission he allegedly retained. As a result, he was removed from his role as Leader of Opposition and succeeded by Hon Joel Ssenyonyi. Additionally, Mpuuga lost his position as deputy president of NUP in the Buganda region.
