Buganda’s Prime Minister pays courtesy call to Kyabazinga

Buganda Kingdom’s prime minister Charles Peter Mayiga has today, October 4th paid a courtesy call on Busoga Kingdom, and has been hosted by the Kyabyazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV.

Mayiga who is on a three-day visit in Busoga is expected to meet youth leaders of various Nkoba za Mbogo associations and Baganda who stay in Busoga.

He was welcomed by Baganda youth at the Source of the Nile Bridge and briefly addressed them before heading to the Kyabazinga Palace at Igenge.

Mayiga arrived at Kyabazinga’s Igenge Palace at midday with his delegation and was welcomed by Busoga Kingdom premier Dr. Joseph Muvawala who ushered him inside the Palace.

Muvawala was in company of Busoga Kingdom Ministers Owek Yudaya Nabirye (Kyabazinga Affairs), James Mukembo (Youth), Nasabu Nantale (State for Education), Busoga Kingdom’s Permanent Secretary Godfrey Ssajjabi and David Agha Isabirye (State for Information) and also Member of Parliament for Jinja Northern Division.

Inside the Palace, Mayiga and other Ministers from Buganda Kingdom were welcomed by His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV.

After a few minutes, Kyabazinga engaged in a private meeting with Mayiga in one of the boardrooms inside the Palace and later had lunch together.

After lunch, Kyabazinga and Mayiga made their remarks.
