The National Building Review Board (NBRB) and Uganda National Action on Physical Disability (UNAPD) supported by the Ministry of Works and Transport have launched new awards dubbed ‘National Building Control Awards’.
These ones will be an annual awards aimed at improving accessibility and fire safety in the country’s buildings.
The awards are due to take place on 8th December at Imperial Royale Hotel Kampala and will be managed by Cruises and Events Limited, an events management company headed by Sheilah Kemigyisha.
The Minister of Works and Transport Gen. Katumba Wamala has appealed to the general public to participate in the awards and give feedback regarding fire safety and accessibility in our buildings.

Machine workshop (Uganda Technical College-Kichwamba).
