Fally Ipupa’s Long-Awaited Ugandan Tour: A Tale of Two Shows With Low Turn Up In Kampala

On the 29th of September and the 1st of October 2023, Uganda had the honor of hosting the global icon, Fally Ipupa. The Congolese superstar had a rollercoaster experience during his highly anticipated tour in Uganda, leaving fans with mixed feelings.

Fally Ipupa was set to perform in Uganda back in 2019 when the events promoting company 243 Events paid him £85,000, with an additional £10,000. However, he failed to make an appearance, leaving fans disappointed.

Fast forward to 29th September 2023, and Fally Ipupa finally graced the stage in Arua. The turnout was massive, with throngs of people gathering to witness his electrifying performance. The artist delivered a show-stopping performance that left the audience in awe.

However, the story took a different turn in Kampala, where he held his final show at Kampala Sheraton Gardens on 1st October 2023. Despite high expectations, the turnout was disappointing compared to the Arua show on Friday. Many had anticipated the gardens to be packed to capacity, but that was not the case.

While Fally Ipupa put on a great show in Kampala, the audience turnout fell short of expectations.

During his performances, the Congolese crooner delighted lucky fans by inviting them to join him on stage, fulfilling a long-held dream for many. His mesmerizing dance skills had the audience not only in awe but also on their feet, grooving to the tunes of the talented artist.
