23 Graduate from Victoria University Kampala

Victoria University Kampala has awarded 23 students with bachelor’s degrees during its second graduation ceremony.

The ceremony that was held at Kabira Country Club on 7th April, 2017 was graced by very many established academicians from various institutions and distinguished guests like former Minister of Finance Gerald Sendawula, Dr. Herbert Mukasa of YMCA, Prof. Asibo the executive director for National Council for higher Education among others.

During the ceremony, Mr. Rajiv Ruparelia, who oversees the running of Victoria University advised the graduates not to rush into jobs that gave them managerial positions but rather to grow within the ranks in their lines of work.

“It is easier to work your way up from down,” said Rajiv.

Also, the University Chancellor Dr. Martin Aliker requested the students to be good role models to others, help the vulnerable and disadvantaged and not to forget to add value to society.

Unlike different institutions, at Victoria University, the students got to walk the podium as they received their awards.

The best student from Victoria University year of 2017, Jiwani Mariam gave an inspiring speech that portrayed the star that she was.  She advised fellow graduands saying, “The Sky is not the limit, it is your mind that is the limit.”

The guests and graduands were treated to a cocktail at the Kabira Country Club pool side to conclude the day’s ceremony.
