Musuuga Charles Kayondo Kamurasi, 80 Years, is the head of the Babiito royal clan. Prince Patrick Mpuuga and Prince Solomon Nyaika are his sons. The wife of Omusuuga Charles Kamurasi (head of the Babiito Royal Clan of the Tooro Kingdom) is a sister of former Queen Mother Best Kemigisha.
According to the will of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru, either prince Mpuuga or prince Nyaika would ascend to the Tooro throne as a King. This alone clearly affirms that the king didn’t appreciate the principles of Monarchism or he was ill-advised by self-seekers.Personally, I know that no person has ever been a King anywhere in the world when his or her father was still alive. Henceforth, no son of Musuuga Charles Kamurasi can be a king of Tooro, and musuuga explained this, but non-Batooro have declared him the enemy of Tooro.
For any of the sons of omusuuga to ascend to the Tooro throne, they have only one way, and that is killing their own father before 23rd September 2026. Omusuuga had all means to enthrone one of his sons or anyone very close to him, but he instead went for the family of Late Prince Paul Christopher Kijanangoma.
Late Prince Paul Christopher Kijanangoma was a son of Omukama Sir George David Rukidi Kamurasi III, who served as the King of Tooro from 1929 to 1965; hence, he was a brother to King Patrick David Matthew Kaboyo Olimi III, who died in 1995, making him an uncle to the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
Late Prince Christopher Paul Kijanangoma was the father of King Edward Kijanangoma (2026). In 1999, Prince Happy Kijanangoma was shot dead in a hotel in Fort Portal; he was leading the faction against King Oyo. He was shot dead on order of Rt Hon Sanyu Katuramu, then Prime Minister of Tooro Kingdom. Three months later, the three friends of Prince Kijanangoma were also shot dead in Wandegeya as Tooro wars intensified.
The brother of the Late Prince Happy Kijanangoma is Prince David Kijanangoma, who is undergoing treatment in Mulago. King Edward Rukiidi Kijanangoma is the younger brother of Late Happy Charles Kijjanangoma, who was shot dead in 1999 following his battle against King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru.
In brief, Omukama Sir George David Rukidi Kamurasi III had his two sons (Prince Christopher Paul Kijanangoma and King Patrick David Matthew Kaboyo Olimi III, who died in 1995 and he was the father of Late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru. Prince Paul Christopher Kijanangoma was an uncle to the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
Hence, of the two sons of Omukama Sir George David Rukidi Kamurasi III, one of his sons’ lineage hadn’t gotten the kingship, and that is the lineage of Late Prince Paul Christopher Kijanangoma, whose son was prince Happy Kijjanangoma, who was killed in 1999; his other son is Prince David Kijanangoma, who is sick in Mulago; and now prince Edward Rukiidi Kijanangoma, who has been made a king of Tooro. This has happened because of the honesty of omusuuga. He has taken power to the Kijjanangoma family. The king of Tooro is expected to perform some rituals at burrial.
