Hundreds of supporters of Mbarara City Woman MP elect, Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, are still celebrating her win up to now.
The celebrations come three weeks after she was declared Mbarara City Woman MP elect on 15th January 2026.
The latest videos shared on social media show supporters chanting her name and carrying posters of her campaigns as they joined each other to cut the cake.
Dubbed ‘Enyonyozi Ya Mbarara’, she has promised to transform the city using her large connections across the globe to attract investors into the city to set up industries and factories which will create employment opportunities for the youths. She also wants to restore the lost glory of Mbarara City as well as improve service delivery in the city.
Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda defeated incumbent Hon. Rita Atukwasa Bwahika twice in the race. The first one was in the NRM Primaries while the second one in the just concluded Presidential and Parliamentary elections where Rita contested as an independent candidate.
Many see Hon. Kibaaju as the new hope that Mbarara City has been yearning for in as far as leadership is concerned.
