2026 Updates; Sam Baluku set to bounce back for Kasese Municipality MP seat

After contesting for the MP Kasese Municipality in 2021 and was not declared winner, Mr. Sam Bakulu will be bouncing back for the same position come 2026 on the NUP party ticket.

Sam who is a resident of Kilembe Quarters, Kamaiba ward, Central Division Kasese Municipality, a lawyer by profession and a student of Journalism and mass communication.

He is also doubles as the Executive Director at Tender Hearts Kasese and currently supporting education through lobbying for university scholarships at the Uganda Pentecostal University and supporting local football clubs like Dream Team FC to promote talent development.

He is one of the founder members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) in Kasese and the very first candidate to identify himself with the NUP, he has been at the forefront to mobilise potential candidates and our performance is evident in the 2022 Busongora south bye elections where the NUP candidate came 2nd amidst voter bribery and rigging.

He is planning on embarking on skilling the youth through Tailoring, Knitting, carpentry and welding short courses with support from his partners.

Baluku is a member of the 6th East Africa Youth Parliament and an executive member of about 8 social Associations around Kasese Municipality.

Economic Empowerment: Support small-scale entrepreneurs and local businesses through training, funding, and market access, Promote tourism and hospitality industry development
Facilitate job creation and skills training for youth and women.

Education and Healthcare; he wants to Improve access to quality education, including vocational training and adult literacy programs.

He wants to enhance healthcare services, including maternal and child health, and HIV/AIDS management and Support community health initiatives and mobile clinics.

Infrastructure Development: he wants to Upgrade and maintain roads, bridges, and public transportation and improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities.
