2026 Updates: Ruth Oketcho eyes West Budama North East MP seat

Ms Nabagesera Ruth Oketcho Solovani has set her sights on dethroning Hon. Fox Odoi as the new Member of Parliament (MP) for West Budama North East in Tororo District from 2026-2031.

She is set to tussle it out against Hon. Fox Odoi for the 12th Parliament seat.

She wants to promote Peace, unity, development and transparency.

Her plan is to have the people of Budama have access to proper education, health, infrastructure, clean water and electricity. She wants to have Savings schemes for the youth, women and men.

She also wants to build small roads for easy transport, like the one of Katandi to Kirewa Sub County Road, Paya Sub country, sop-sop Sub country & others then also lobby from government to construct Tororo- Busolwa upto Namutumba District Road for easy transport.

Her team is already on the ground mobilizing for support ahead of the battle.
