2026 Updates: Alex Wokona wants to restore Namisindwa’s lost glory as he eyes LC V Chairperson seat

Time is up for 2026 general elections and the intending candidates are gearing up for the big battles ahead.

The latest we have is Alex Wokona aka Bro who has announced his intentions to contest for Namisindwa District LC V Chairperson seat.

Once he is elected, Alex is planning to restore leadership with hope for the people of Namisindwa through social-economic transformation.

Mr Wokona who hails from Komono Parish, Magale Sub county in Bubulo East Namisindwa District has set his campaign theme as “Restoring Lost Glory of Leadership for Namisindwa District”

He says with this theme, he will promote social economic transformation.

He has outlined key social economic transformation as; Coordinated planning between politicians and technocrats at every level, Handling eradication of poverty, Championing of policy based planning and other social- economic issues like gender based violence, youth unemployment, high school dropouts, promotion of agriculture sector and reducing early marriages among the youths.

Mr. Alex Wokona is an economist by profession and a business development officer who deals in Project planning and management,
Capacity building, Resource mobilisation, Business planning, Statistical data analysis, Monitoring and evaluation, Proposal writing and policy Analyst.

Currently, Alex plies his trade at Mukwano Industries Limited as a Business Development Officer.
