200 Women Groups Empowered To Eradicate Poverty In Lwengo District

At least two hundred women groups in Lwengo district have been empowered to eradicate poverty through creation of income generating projects.Lwengo District NRM chairman, Hajji Muyanja Mbabaali dancing with women at Senya primary school on Saturday at the launching of Senya women’s SACCO in Kkingo sub county

With support from the Lwengo District NRM chairman, Hajji Mbabaali Muyanja, women groups in the sub counties of Kkingo and Kisekka were trained in growing crops like tomatoes, cabbages, and green paper and how to run their SACCOs at village level.

While at Ssenya village. Hajji Mbabaali said so many women are committed to work hard to eradicate poverty.

Dr. Muyanja Mbabaali is set to vie for Bukoto South MP seat come 2016.
