American Bassist Richard Bona to arrive on June 28 ahead of his Performance at the Johnnie Walker Jazz Safari
With the much anticipated eleventh edition of the Johnnie Walker Jazz Safari just around the Corner, all seems to be set as the date for the arrival of the event’s main headliner; Grammy award winner Richard Bona has been confirmed.
The star will be landing into the country on Thursday June 28th ahead of his performance at the annual Jazz Safari slated to take place on Saturday June 30 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
According to reliable sources the celebrated American bassist will be flying in with his entire band and as is the custom for all visiting jazz performers, he will also be engaging in a little bit of charity work before he works his magic at the event.
Bona will also share the stage with the cream of local jazz music like Kaz Kasozi, Black Roots-UNLIMITED, Michael Kitanda, Tony Trumpet and Aloysius Migadde.
Tickets to the concert go for shs130k, while a table of 10 goes for shs 3m. Tickets are also on sale at Game Lugogo, Shoprite, Acacia mall and House of walker (Sheraton Hotel).
