Nigerian Artiste Geniuzz Releases New Single “Detty” In East Africa

Nigerian afro-pop artiste Geniuzz – signed to the renowned African music label Effyzzie Music Group/Rebel Movement releases a brand new single, DETTY in East Africa. The high-octane single off his acclaimed 2017 EP “A Slice of Geniuzz” was produced by hit producer Philkeyz. In the single he teams up with international company, Dancehall Funk for a dance video shot in Russia.

The video features an all-girl high energy dance choreography for the song directed by Yana Markeshina. Speaking about his new release and plans for East Africa in 2018, he says, “I have been working on my music for a long time and I have always wanted to connect with my East African fans who continue to show me love. I am also planning to come to East Africa soon so am excited for that.”

On the up-tempo DETTY, Geniuzz bares it all as he infectiously sings about having a good time. Known for his hits “Underrate” featuring fellow label mate Yemi Alade and “Firewood”, he brings yet another certified afro –pop hit set to rule the music charts across Africa.

The Stars Came To Play at the New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball

For those who attended the NYE Masquerade Ball that took place on December 31st at the Golf Course Hotel it will truly be a night to remember. The event was the perfect option for guests who wanted to bring in 2018 in a stylish VIP experience.

The event featured lavish décor including grand red carpet entrance and poolside party area surrounded by several VIP lounges and exclusive cabana section. The venue was beautifully decorated in an elegant white, gold and black theme.

The evening’s entertainment included energetic performances from the Tabu Flo dancers, Hellen Lukona, Bebe Cool and a reunion of the legendary hip-hop group Klear Kut (Papito, The Mith & Navio).

The event was hosted by Miss Deedan who did an impressive job of hyping up the crowd and ushering in the New Year.

The party featured a strong line up of celebrated Deejay’s including DJ Xzyl, the duo of RPM & BK, Sir Aludah, DJ Chapat, DJ Roja and Slick Stuart.

The Masquerade Ball was star studded with many of Kampala’s top celebrities, socialites, models, corporates and business community in the building.

Some notable guests at the party included comedian Salvado Idringi, actor Roger Mugisha, model Judith Heard, former Miss Uganda Dorah Mwima, former Miss Uganda Sylvia Namutebi Allibhai, musician Chizzo Lubega, rapper Atlas Da African, Arab Money promoter Sue Ochola, Cedric Babu, DJ Karo, Nina Roz and many more.  Many guests made an effort to dress to the nines with elegant masks adding mystery and a fashionable flair to the occasion.

The event was powered by two luxury drink brands, Luc Belaire and superstar rapper Drake’s own Virginia Black Whiskey which are distributed in Uganda by Qway International. The event was promoted and organized by Talent Africa.

Coca-Cola gives back with 7-Day Christmas Drive

In a bid to appreciate and give back to Ugandans for the support that they have given throughout the year, Coca-Cola embarked on an initiative to spread the joy of Christmas with individuals and communities in Kampala and surrounding areas.

The initiative that lasted 7 days saw brightly-lit Coca-Cola caravans make stop overs in different town centers within Kampala and as far as Kyengera, Namasuba and Gayaza, surprising the unsuspecting residents with foodstuffs, shopping vouchers and entertaining them with Christmas Carols sang by the choir.

Commenting about the initiative, Ms. Miriam Limo, the Coca-Cola Uganda Brand Manager said, “Our consumers work hard to ensure that they can adequately cater to their personal and families’ needs during this season. As Coca-Cola Uganda, we decided to give back to them by contributing to this responsibility.”

This initiative comes just a few days after the Beverages giant launches an Under The Crown promotion that will see hundreds of consumers win instant airtime and cash prizes by simply purchasing a Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Krest, Stoney and Schweppes Novida glass bottle and checking under the crown.
